School Day Details

Drop off:

Parents can drop children between 9am and 9.10am

Children drop their bag and go to play in the yard until the bell rings at 9.10am

Parents should come straight to school office if they need to collect their child early from school.  Please ring the bell if there is no one at the office.  

One-way system in operation – enter footpath at zebra crossing and exit footpath at Lissarda side.

Collection: 1.50pm Finish:

Parents can queue on footpath, following one-way system for collection please

2.50pm Finish:

2.50pm – Children travelling by bus will go to the buses

2.55pm – 4^th,5^th and 6^th Class children will make their way to their parents’ car

2.55pm  approx. – parents can start to line up to collect the children in 1^st – 3^rd class.

Parking: Parents are reminded to keep Lissarda side of school free for teachers’ parking.

Please do not double park outside footpath railing as this causes congestion and is a danger.

Uniform: Crested navy jumper available in TM Cronin’s, Macroom

Plain navy tracksuit, pants, shorts, skirt or pinafore.

Plain blue t-shirt

No Logos or labels on uniform

Lunches: Two breaks – Small break = 10 minutes and Big break = 30 minutes

Healthy lunches Monday to Friday, with a small treat allowed on Fridays

Drinks – no fizzy drinks allowed, water or milk preferable

Please ensure all children are able to open/close/manage their lunches and drinks bythemselves.

Birthdays: No birthday invitations to be given out during school or inside school gate please.

Absence Notes: Parents are required to send an explanatory note on return to school if their child has been absent or complete absence information on Aladdin Connect App.

Secretary: Our secretary, Breda, is available in the office Monday to Thursday during school hours.

The office is unattended on Fridays so please understand if we are slower to get to the phone or miss your call – please try again after a few minutes.

Meetings: Meetings with teachers are strictly by appointment only – please contact the school office.
